Council FINALLY installs festive lights in Greenford following outcry

Friday, 10 December, 2021

With just two weeks to go before Christmas, Ealing Council has finally installed festive lighting in Greenford Broadway following an outcry from hundreds of local residents on social media.

One resident posted on local Facebook group, Greenford (UB6) Friends and said, “Well, thanks to some people power, the lights have finally arrived in Greenford.”  Another commented, “Better late than never I suppose.”

Earlier this week, Ealing North Conservatives reported that hundreds of residents had taken to social media to vent their anger and disappointment over the Council's lack of action.  Many shared a common view that the north of the borough was not a priority for Ealing Council and that the area had, for many years been overlooked and neglected.
