Our Last Summer Event

Luckily the weather held for the very successful joint Cleveland & Hanger Hill BBQ superbly organised by Ian Proud and attended by well over 40 members and their guests.

STOP THE TOWERS UPDATE

We understand that Ealing Council have said they will not consider the Southern Grove 55West application for the 26 storey tower in Manor Road until a wind tunnel  assessment has been carried out.

Proposed Addition of 44 Flats to Kenmure Mansions

At a packed meeting of 250 concerned residents on15 August, organised by the Pitshanger Community Association, the proposal to add two extra floors of 44 flats over the existing flats over the shops on the south side of Pitshanger Lane was discussed in detail. 

Ealing Summer Party

Another successful event, in spite of the weather, when the Ealing Conservative Associations held their joint summer Barbecue at the Drayton Court Hotel on 20th June with special guest,  The Right Honourable Penny Mordaunt MP, Secretary of State for Defence.

Campaign to Save Pitshanger Library

At the request of residents in the Pitshanger Village area and the Pitshanger Village Traders' Association we mounted a campaign to join with local people and all those affected by the potential closure of this valued and, indeed essential, facility.

Gurnell Regeneration

On 8 June there was a briefing on the replacement leisure centre at Gurnell. The main points highlighted were that the pool will be still 50 metres long but will have 10 lanes as opposed to the current eight, there will be better facilities and underground car parking for 175 cars.
